Motivated Employees

What is happening when once engaged and motivated employees stop communicating, stop smiling and lose energy. There are many reasons for this behavioral change, and I hope you never experience any of them.

But just in case you identify with one or more in this list:

  • Loss of trust
  • Lack of leadership predictability (Operational and Emotional)
  • Lack of information and communication
  • Being ignored as a human being
  • Feeling like a resource or function
  • Dishonest communication
  • Leadership focusing on KPI’s not their people
  • Wavering direction or no clear vision

The best Leaders are not afraid to ask for help. They want to be the best human beings they can be.

Why?  They have taken on responsibility for other peoples causes. The C-Level want results, the employees will deliver those results and success will depend directly on the type of energy platform a Leader can provide.

The ‘quietness’ of typically motivated employees is an organisational alarm which leadership needs to recognise and act on. Internal reflection is necessary as the origin of the lack of passion so often lies in leadership inappropriateness, neglect or selfishness. Jonathan Mills
