Communication

The 4 Main Essentials of Communication:

A wise man once stated, “Never take the words of others at face value.”

This essential communication principle is one of the most crucial life teachings we can absorb. Sadly, many people only learn this after many years of broken relationships, hurt and disappointment.

Miscommunication is the number one reason for all relationship tensions; communication is what builds bridges between ourselves and other people. Without healthy and well-delivered communication, we have very little.

When poor communication damages the connection or trust in our relationships, it’s only honest and concise communication that can start to rebuild what’s been lost.

We all have a fashion of speaking things we don’t mean sometimes. If we aspire to elevate the standard of our conversations, there are four critical elements of every communication that we must be aware of:

1) Element One: What we intend to say;
2) Element Two: What we actually say;
3) Element Three: What the listener hears us say; and lastly,
4) Element Four: What the listener assumes we intended to say.

Miscommunication and misinterpretation are more often than not the cause of wars, arguments, divorces, breakups and most family disputes.

To effectively communicate, we must understand that we are all varied in the way we comprehend the world and use this knowledge as a guide to having more efficient communications with other people.
